The Redmi 1A 23.8 inch Monitor from Xiaomi is now official. Xiaomi Redmi 1A Monitor comes with 23.8 Inch Ultra-thin 1080P HD HDMI & VGA Interface IPS 178° Wide Angle Display Screen. IPS wide-angle hard screen/7.3mm slim body/low blue light comfortable eye protection. The Redmi says its first monitor has a 178° viewing angle and is also TÜV Rheinland-certified for low blue light emission. Hence, the brand markets it for everyday usage. This new Xiaomi Redmi 1A monitor featured with Display 1A, Color: 16.7M, Refresh Rate: 60HZ, Resolution: 1920 x 1080, Contrast Ratio: 1000:1, Display Ratio: 16:9, Panel Type: IPS, Type: HDMI, VGA, Response Time: 6ms (GTG), Brightness: 250cd/m. and there is no visible screen flickering under normal operation. The new Xiaomi Redmi 1A monitor can also be slightly adjusted at fewer angles for viewing. Since it has thin bezels, Redmi also advertises it to be a perfect choice for multiple monitors setup. This new monitor supports low blue light emissions to help with protecting a user’s eyes.

The monitor comes in a rather large box weighing about 4.2 kg. Inside the box, you will find a well-packed monitor itself in a protective foam with transport cellophane. Also, in individual grooves of the foam, there was a leg and an arm with additional screws. Naturally, instruction and various documentation were also present, but all in Chinese. In addition, the kit also includes a power adapter, which is very compact and does not take up much space. Like most Redmi or Xiaomi products, the new Redmi Monitor 1A is designed in a minimalist style. Regarding build quality, the monitor made of not only plastic. The leg is made of aluminum alloy and the back of the monitor also has a metal insert. It’s a very good for a budget monitor. The assembly itself is very simple and not complicated. It will take you about 5 minutes to complete the monitor. The first thing to do is to connect the leg and bracket to one screw. Then connect the bracket to the monitor body itself with two more screws. Now let’s talk about external interfaces. Xiaomi Redmi Monitor 1A received a port for a power adapter and HDMI with a VGA port. Near the ports, there is a mechanical control joystick and a built-in power button. I liked this control method, it is very simple and straightforward and much easier to control than a large number of unnecessary buttons under the monitor.
