The DJI RS 4 is a professional-grade 3-axis stabilizer designed to serve as the backbone for serious mirrorless camera cinematography. Building on the success of the RS 3, this model introduces key refinements in efficiency, capacity, and vertical filmmaking, making it a versatile tool for wedding videographers and indie filmmakers alike.

The RS 4 features the 4th-Gen RS Stabilization Algorithm, which is specifically optimized for various shooting scenarios, including running or low-angle shots. It maintains a robust 3kg (6.6 lbs) payload capacity, easily supporting common setups like the Sony A7S III or Canon R5 with a 24-70mm f/2.8 lens. A significant physical upgrade is the Teflon™ coating on all three axes, which reduces friction and makes the balancing process significantly smoother and more precise.

One of the most praised features is the 2nd-Gen Automated Axis Locks. When the gimbal is powered off, the axes fold and lock automatically; when powered on, they expand and unlock in seconds, allowing creators to start filming almost instantly. For social media creators, the 2nd-Gen Native Vertical Shooting allows for a seamless transition to 9:16 framing by simply re-mounting the horizontal plate—no additional accessories required.
