The DJI Mavic 3 Series Intelligent Flight Battery (Model BWX260-5000-15.4) is a high-capacity power solution engineered to support the demanding dual-camera and enterprise systems of the Mavic 3 lineup. By moving to a 4S LiPo system with higher energy density, DJI successfully pushed consumer flight times toward the 50-minute mark.

With a 5000 mAh capacity, the battery provides varying flight times depending on the specific aircraft model's weight and propulsion efficiency:

Mavic 3 / Classic: Up to 46 minutes of flight (40 minutes hovering).

Mavic 3 Pro: Up to 43 minutes of flight due to the increased weight of the triple-camera gimbal.

Mavic 3 Enterprise: Up to 45 minutes, optimized for high-intensity mapping missions.

The "Intelligent" designation refers to the built-in Battery Management System (BMS). To prevent the common issue of cell swelling, the battery features a Controlled Auto-Discharge protocol:

Day 3 of inactivity: The battery automatically discharges to approximately 96%.

Day 9 of inactivity: It further discharges to 60%, the ideal voltage for long-term storage.

The BMS also provides real-time data to the DJI Fly app, including cycle count, cell voltage balance, and temperature. In cold weather environments, the battery uses internal heat generated during discharge to maintain operating temperatures, though manual pre-heating is recommended below 5°C.
